Uses UV-blocking quartz glass
Compared to general hard glass, it is strong and has a very small thermal conductivity and thermal expansion rate, so it boasts high durability. The color temperature of SR HID bulbs and genuine parts is approximately 4300K (Kelvin).
*The brightness indicated is for S (projector type). R (reflector type) is slightly lower than the indicated brightness.
*Lifespan is indicated according to the TC standard of the JIS standard. (D1S/D3S is according to the TC standard of the ECE standard.)

HID bulb (D2/D4) types and compatibility
There are two types of HID bulbs: "S" and "R".
Depending on the shape of the car's lighting fixture, the setting is "S" for projector type and "R" for reflector type.
Also, please note that the installation shapes and conditions differ depending on the D2 and D4 series, so please be careful when purchasing.
D1S/D3S shape and compatibility
D1S/D3S are different valves with different shapes and valve specifications. Please note that the shapes are similar.
*There are also reflector type varieties called D1R/D3R, but they are not specified.
*D3S does not use any mercury in the valve's filling compound.
HID is a consumable item. Regular replacement is necessary to ensure good night vision!
An HID bulb does not reach the end of its life when it burns out; it reaches the end of its life when the light output falls to 70% of its original value from when it was new.
*The brightness of HID bulbs decreases over time and they become dimmer without you noticing.

After 3 to 4 years of use, the brightness of the original HID bulb will decrease.
It will be significantly darker.
The bulb that has been on for 1,500 hours (illumination photo on the right) is in a new condition.
The brightness is reduced by about 40%.
The color also changes from white to a slightly purple hue.
Visibility is also greatly reduced.

After the bulb is left on for a long time, it will become cloudy and black.
